So wait a minute, is something WRONG? Or something incredibly RIGHT….you decide.

So before this movie came out I had zero intention of seeing it. However, I noticed that Michael Mann directed it. This is the guy who did Heat and Collateral – two of the best movies ever. So if his next movie were called Fat Lady Reads Telephone Book, well I’d be going no matter what.

Also the fact that he was a producer on the original Miami Vice gave me the feeling that he’d essentially be true to the genre. He was, great flick, go see it now.

If you don’t like Miami Vice you aren’t a real movie fan, you’re just a person who watches movies. (Which is fine.)

If you’ve never seen Top Gear, it’s a very cool British car show. It was on here in the states on the Discovery Channel briefly, but got cancelled in favor of repeats of shows where guys weld stuff and yell at each other. In this piece of video they review the Enzo at the factory in Maranello. The tagline says Jeremy Clarkson, but it’s not, it’s the very odd and rather swishy (yet fast) Tiff Needel. It’s worth a watch to see Tiff hang the Enzo out like he’s driving a rental car with full coverage.

All I have to say is that these goofy things seem tailor made to go with Silence of the Lambs, The Musical.

Probably the most beautiful example of lust on wheels to ever come out of the Maranello factory is the 599 GTB. It’s rare that a car gives me an actual erection but the 599 is certainly on that list.
