One of the things I do in my capacity as marketing genius and general pornographer is consult for other sites. People know me by reputation or word of mouth and on occasion I am hired on to do some project. Many times the same thing happens - some guy hires me because I’m knowledgeable and experienced and then he ignores my knowledge and experience.

Why do they do this? No idea. In my experience people are generally reluctant to admit ignorance, and entrepreneurs are a hundred times worse. I would say there’s something about having a lot of money that makes you a dick, but that would be a lie. More like money allows your innate dick-ish-ness to flourish. As my buddy E says, “The internet has made a lot of unworthy people rich.”
